Hokkaido, Japan Trip 3.0

Hey there and Happy Weekend to you! I know this post is coming a little late due to my first week of SEM3 was just started few days ago and we had class since early morning to evening everyday, I had so much things to deal with so only had limited time left to watermark those photos and write this post. So continuing the last post, this post will be the third exciting day of my trip! Let’s move on to the land of nature in details with me!

# DAY 3 #

On the third day of our trip, the highlight of today will be fruit farm discovery and flower garden visit after the lakes and mountain adventures yesterday. Among of the photos taken, I love today’s photos the most because it was a bright clear blue sky and amazing sunshine day! However, having some symptoms of sore throat, fever and dizziness since morning made me feeling not so well throughout the day until I had some medicines to fight against the virus in my body.

1

OHAYO HOKKAIDO !

2

The greenish outdoor view through our hotel room’s window early morning.

3

Buffet Style Japanese Breakfast. Miso soup can be said that is a must for their breakfast. For me, I just having plain porridge with some simple dishes as I’m not really feeling well since this morning. But still, Hokkaido milk is the best milk I ever taste throughout my 20 years life. It just taste a little more milk fragrant with some sweetness without any strong creamy milk odor and you just could feel the freshness of it at the first moment you taste it. I personally prefer milk which taste more bland and simple. Totally can’t compared form the one we brought from supermarket. I miss Hokkaido milk so much! <3

4

After the breakfast, our first destination to visit today – Fruit Farm Discovery! As I mentioned before, Hokkaido is an island of agriculture, thus there are so much variety of fruits here from season to season such as apples, grapes, pears, cherries and many many more. And for this September late summer and early autumn season, it is the season for pears! We are so lucky to visit this pears Ōchādo and follow the expert to discover, pluck and experience the juicy and sweetness of Hokkaido pears! ^^

9

This fruit farm just reminds me when I last visited Australia’s apple farm few years ago.

24

25

26

27

We were too exciting that time when found the first red maple tree at there, haha!

28

29

My dad was so in action!

30

Here we come to our second destination – Lake Notoro (網走能取湖). It is a brackish lake separated by a sandbar from the sea of Okhotsk. Glasswort color the shores red in September & October. These plants can be seen up close from the broad walk built near a colony of the plant in this area; unique and not many in this world!

This picture is taken from the web when the Lake Noroto is fill with sea of red glassworts. But why in reality is so much difference from the picture? The glasswort plants we saw were just in pale purplish pink color only. Perhaps this was not the right season for us to visit here?

Guess these are the lyrics of Japanese song?

40

41

Hokkaido pumpkins are super duper sweet with rich pumpkin taste! Another must try food in Hokkaido besides than corns especially Tempura Pumpkin. I guess we had almost ate a whole big pumpkin in these few days.

42

Lunch Time! Having our lunch at the first floor of this seafood market.

43

44

A hot seafood pot combination with some tempura as our lunch, simple yet delicious!

45

After lunch, we were heading to the third and also last destination of the day. From the market we had our lunch just now to the next destination need about 2 hours of bus journey if not mistaken. Hokkaido is so big that if moving from one place to another place usually quite far so this is also one of the downside of the trip – bus journey takes longer than the visiting time. But we all fall asleep all the way and my condition became worsen that time due to the long uncomfortable journey and hot sun weather that day.

47

Finally we reached our last destination of today, Taiyo-no-Oka Engkaru Park (太陽之丘遠輕公園波斯菊花田). This Niji-no-Hiroba park covers vast grounds of over 10 hectares, where over ten million cosmos bloom, making this the largest cosmos park in Japan. Enjoy the pure beauty of the millions of wispy cosmos that gently blow in the wind under an infinite blue sky.

在面績達10公頃之廣的太陽之丘遠輕公園的彩虹廣場上,開滿1000萬株波斯菊花,為日本最大的波斯菊花田。在無垠的青空之下,體會這千萬株盛開的波斯菊花海吧!

48

Look at how happily this 2 aunties were when saw these real giant pumpkin!

Really feeling upset that just took this only pictures with this colorful sea of cosmos flowers due to time constraining. Actually not really satisfied with this photo also for the angle of shooting. Already give up to my dad’s photography skill …

59

60

61

On the way to the another another sunflower park …

62

63

64

Reached this sunflowers garden after a distance of walk. It’s my first time seeing such a big fields of sunflower just in front of me in my life. Absolutely loving them so much! I love sunflowers because they just like sunshine smiling to me!

65

66

68

Some sunflowers were started to wilt due to the summer season almost come to the end

69

If you are expert at spotting the fake smile, here is it >< I’m just too tiring at that time and feeling not really well that’s why my smile looked so unwillingly and reluctantly …

71

Well, this side-angle picture is totally not the effect I wanted, a little disappointment … I just looked so nerd in this picture ><

72

Selfie looks far more better than that

73

74

Another hot spring hotel for tonight – Mombetsu Prince Hotel  (纹别王子温泉酒店)

75

77

Window view from my room

76

Honestly speaking, Japan’s hotel are usually quite small, so do not opts for extra spacing especially for the bathroom. Here is the example of the bathroom, every hotel’s bathroom looks almost the same either in Hokkaido or in Tokyo. It is just look like a mobile public toilet. They said Japanese people designed in that way mainly is for earthquake safety reason which is the best place to hide in if you can’t escape in time. Although it is so small but it’s still very clean and everything you need is there just exactly like what the Chinese Idioms saying “麻雀虽小五脏俱全”.

78

79

Today’s Yukata looks a little temple-look for me. Just kidding XD

80

Dinner Menu tonight! Yes, it is Deluxe Crab Meal with various of cooking methods!

81

When can I start eating? I’m hungry! YumYum

Here are the four main dishes for the Deluxe Crab Meal tonight :

1. Shabu-Shabu Crab

82

83

2. Steam crab

85

86

87

90

92

3. Steamed rice with crab meat - I love this dish the most among all !

94

4. Tempura Crab

95

96

97

Lastly, dessert after the meal – soft milk cream !

98

99

No image for me anymore …

100

101

I bet my mom will kill me if she saw this picture for sure !

102

103

104

See this cutie, just looks like a Japanese kid right ?

105

Going to have a fun with DIY “Mua Ci” making after dinner.

106

107

108

The process of making Mua Ci is not easy at all ! It requires fast speed & energies.

109

My dad gave a try also, erm … not bad but are you going to hit that guy ? ^^

110

It’s my turn now, luckily I managed to carry that heavy wooden hammer but is still a little difficult for me. Everyone will keep on shouting “yuso” loudly when you are hitting it means to cheer for you.

111

112

113

114

And this is the result of our DIY Mua Ci with some peanut powder

115

See how elastic it was !

116

Went out for some walk to nearby shop after that. We felt so relax walking out there although it was already night time which you just can’t do this in Malaysia … You know what will happen here the next minute.

117

So, that’s all for today’s part. Thanks for reading my super long post all the way here. Again, stay tuned till the next post! Cutie saying Oyasuminasai to everyone with love! Hope you have a sweet dream and enjoy your weekend ♥♥♥
