Food Hunting

In semester 3, my girls seems to food hunt more often compared to last semester. This time we went to Uncle Jung Korean Restaurant for dinner and Sweet Hut for dessert at Sri Petaling after flash mob dance practice. Korean food will always be my favourite food ever especially every time after watching Korean drama or variety show that always make me craving for Korean food, OMG feeling so excited now !!!

I knew that Uncle Jung located in my hometown too but never try it before. It seems to be quite popular here as many of my friends recommended after trying it. The signature dish that make Uncle Jung famous is Dak-galbi which is a popular Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, perilla leaves, and rice cake with a chili pepper based sauce on a hot plate. It is a local specialty food in the city of Chuncheon in Korea especially the street of Myeong-dong where dak-galbi originates. It is also a popular dish for university students who are on a low budget, as dak-galbi is relatively cheap and served in abundance.

Uncle Jung also do serve other Korean local dishes but we are here for dak-galbi today.

And finally! The dish that always shown in Korean drama. We ordered two hot plates for 8 people. I found that if eat together with friends or more people will make Dak-galbi taste nicer.
