It had been 4 years since I left my secondary high school in 2011. This is the first time I visit my old school after graduated, however it was not the old campus that full with our precious memories anymore, it has move to a bigger and beautiful new campus which is even spacious than my university campus. Although it is not the campus that we familiar with, but still feeling glad that we could met some of the teachers that taught us before. Awww, I miss my secondary school life so much!
Open day is the biggest event of Seri Omega which held annually. Everyone is invited and welcome to visit the school. They had prepared delicious dishes, students performances, interesting exhibitions and the highlight of the event fireworks!
Too disappointed that was not able to try all these delicious food as all were long queued!
The situation we saw when get down from the bus… All I could say is that whenever there’s free food, there’re people! No matter how long the queue is, people are always willingly to queue for free food.

I was been on that stage before too… Those years we only had strings instruments, now they even included brass and woodwind instruments. In addition upgraded with beautiful costumes and colourful lighting, really like a grand classical orchestral performance! Great job juniors!
The Exhibitions. Each class had decorated their classroom with different themes such as Ancient Egyptian History, Arts and Craft, Chinese Calligraphy, Chemistry Lab, Biology Lab, Aquatic World, Space World and others. I was quite amazed to the ideas and creativeness of the students and could see that they really put in lots of efforts and time to prepare all these stuff. Thousands applause for them!
The atmosphere and lighting made me felt like entered a nightclub but not a school.
What’s that?! That’s the special entrance into the biology lab through Oesophagus, how creative they’re!
They even have BMI/blood pressure booth and health screening for blood glucose. Wait, something had caught my eyeballs, looked at the information on the board, secondary students nowadays also learnt about HDL and LDL already? That’s what I only learnt now, why I couldn’t recall I did learnt it those days?

Haha! Still the same as those years! I was always the same hairstyle as the middle girl in the acceptable category.
The office was occupied with people who anxiously looking for their separated children or friends.
I was shock when we came out from the building, the number of people was triple when we arrived just now. I’m not really used to crowded area that would made me feel like lack of oxygen and breathless. It was even hard for us to move one step forward. Initially, I would like to get a cup of ice coffee to cool down, but after queuing for 30minutes, the queue was not moving at all and made me feel even hot. In the end I give up the coffee as fireworks were starting soon.

The fascinating and glamorous fireworks marked the end of that night.
But now going back home become the most headache problem, everyone was tried to squeeze into that mini buses.
We waited half an hour to squeeze into the bus, by the time I reached home was about midnight.
The news on Sin Chew Daily few days after the event. The school actually estimated around 10000 visitors on that day but in the end there were about 20000 turned up. I was really shock and speechless, just a private and international school. It was really a successful grand event for Seri Omega as so many people support our school. Looking forward to next year open day again!
