Outing 2.0

Just spent my whole Sunday at Harris bookstore today. Gonna spending my BBIM voucher to buy some favorites books to spend my long holidays. I am someone who can spend a few hours or the whole day in bookstore just to look for some interested books. And so here are the books I bought after spending about 3 hours of ‘surfing’. I had bought some books related to travel, food, nutrition and an oxford medical dictionary which will be quite useful in my later semesters.

After EOS Day-4

Throwback to 03.07.14

Day4, Sushi-making @ Silver’s house. I do love sushi but this is only my second time making sushi which the first time was happened 4 years ago during ERT cooking class in my secondary school. I usually buy sushi from AEON supermarket or just have it at Japanese restaurant, it’s the easiest and fastest way isn’t it ? Too lazy and troublesome for me to prepare all the ingredients if just to make it for myself. But if make it together with buddies that’s another matter. Honestly speaking, we took almost 3 hours just to make the sushi and potato salad >o<

And for the potato salad, really speechless when saw it … It’s not like mashed potato anymore. Due to long time stirring and exposure under fan, it turned dry and the texture become elastic and rubbery. Is gelation happened ?! At last, we had no choice but to gelatinize it by added some water and heat it, that’s the only way to save it. TT

So that’s all for my holidays after EOS spent with my sisters. Really enjoy all the moments spent with you girls. It’s really unforgettable and memorable experiences. You girls had made my uni life so interesting and exciting! Uni life without you all will be just too dull and boring. So see you guys in the next semester! Lastly, all the best to our beloved Agnes! Failure doesn’t mean the end, that’s just another beginning of your life. Don’t give up yourself and keep on moving! I’m sure that one day you’ll find your own way and succeed it! Throwback to 02.07.14

So today, let’s see the result of our homemade ‘mango ice cream’. But then, we almost fainted when our ice cream became frozen ice. Isn’t what we made was ice cream ? But why the texture became …. Okay, we were failed for this first time, maybe will find out what’s going wrong and try with other recipes again next time. Anyway, we just have it like sour frozen yogurt as we didn’t added any sugar at all =)

Our lunch menu today – Chicken Miso Udon @ Vista Komanwel B newly opened Japanese Restaurant, it’s looks a little oily because of the chicken’s fats but still okay. The portion of ingredients even more than the udon especially seaweed. The largest bowl is for our beloved Agnes XD

Cheese baked rice for our dinner, it was quite easy to make it. Firstly, pan-frying all the ingredients well such as chicken, mushroom and mixed bean.

Pre-cook the rice and placed it on the bottom of the plate before added the pan-fried mixture.

Then, cover the rice with amounts of mozzarella cheese depends on how much you like. Lastly, baked the rice in the toaster/oven with 180c for around 25minutes and DONE !!! (Please be caution that always check the oven to prevent the cheese get burn)

Bon appetite!!! First time making it, was successful for me although still can’t be compared with my mum’s cook.

Watching RunningMan together @ my room & can’t stop laughing out, quite sorry to my housemates if had disturbed them. But then, someone fall asleep here maybe she was too tired after so much of laughing. After EOS Day-2

Throwback to 01.07.14

While waiting for our results and junior orientation, we decided to stayback in KL for one more week after exam. We had planned earlier before the exam what to do and how to spend our holiday after exam. Many of the classmates had join different trips for travelling such as Serendah Sekeping, Pulau Tioman, Penang, Ipoh and others. But few of us decided not to stay go anywhere, just stay in hostel chit-chatting, watching and homemade some dishes together. Spending time with besties actually quite fun too and this will sure become parts of the memories of my uni life.

With a brand new mood today, 4 of us went to midvalley early morning to buy some stuffs needed for our recipes. Actually we haven’t even decided what to cook or make for these coming few days …

Before we went to the supermarket, we had our lunch first at Dubu-Dubu Korean Restaurant. Looking at the delicious food pics in food culture and food prep lecture notes always made me felt like carving for some food during the exam period. How I miss to have some proper food and good meals after the exam. And today we were here! Maybe it’s a weekday so there’re less people today compared to weekend. Each of us ordered a set lunch that consists of a main dish with rice/noodle and 3 bancan, which is consider quite a huge set for a person. The funny things is when the food came, we took photos for almost 10mins with different postures and angles until the food became cold. Haha, luckily there were only few costumers in the restaurant, otherwise they sure will think that we are crazy, coming here to eat or taking photos.

After shopping at Daiso for an hour, we went to have our afternoon tea at Nana’s Green Tea. Although this dessert shop have been opening here for a while, but this was the first time we trying. Every time passed by here there’ll always a long queue in front of the shop. I was attracted by the classic Nana’s Green Tea banner and its interior design with simple Japanese wooden theme.

Besides selling desserts and drinks, they do sell some sets lunch meal. But today we plan to have some desserts only, sets meal maybe will try out next time, looks awesome right ?

But then unluckily we met super huge rain on the way back, are we going to climb up the flyover and cross the road under the rain with all our heavy loads ? Looks like that rain is not going to stop so fast, we had no even an extra hand to carry umbrella. At last, we had no choice but to catch a taxi back to Vista although that’s only a less than 500M distance. Why 4 of us just don’t think of travel back by a taxi all the way from MidValley to Vista ? Isn’t it sounds funny ? Anyway, we were managed to went back my hostel safely where they planned to cook tomato spaghetti for our dinner today. Thanks to our chef Susan for preparing our delicious dinner. Kamshahamnida ^^

After dinner, we use only 3 ingredients (yogurt, mango and lemon) to make mango ice cream as our desserts. And of course this is the first time we making homemade ice cream according to youtube recipes. After blended all the ingredients well poured in a container, all we need to do is just wait for few hours to frozen. Agnes went back home earlier and left Silver & Susan at my room chit-chatting until almost midnight. But then after waiting for almost 3 hours, it still seems like creamy texture. Looks like we’re not going to have it today. Anyway, just left it overnight in the fridge and see what’s going to happen the next day. I’ll post the result of our homemade ‘ice cream’ in the next post so stay tuned ! That’s all for today and goodnight everyone !
