Throwback to March, our Semester 6 ND senior were having their project, nutrition week. This is a major event for every batch of ND students. This time, we as the juniors were invited to involve in helping them in the preparing of the event too. Besides clamming for MPU hours (we are requires to fill the compulsory 80 hours which involve in volunteering job), this could also be a great experience to have an idea on this event which might be quite useful for us in the future.
The theme for nutrition week this year is Safe Food Saves Lives. From Monday to Friday, each group of students are in charged for each day, using their ideas and creativity to design their own theme, prepare small games and promote information to all students, lecturers and staffs in IMU; and for Friday is also the closing ceremony day. I was helped out for Tuesday which the theme was At Home - Meet the cooking MAMA.

Pancake Selling Session
We volunteered to help out the pancake selling booth for the last day since we’ve no class at that time. Baking + Jam-ing + Wrapping homemade pancake for the whole morning could be quite a fun but tiring task too especially when there’s lots of order during lunch time. Luckily, we managed to sold out all the pancake in few hours time ^^
Closing Ceremony
An hour of simple closing ceremony during lunch time with some short speeches, videos presentation and lucky draw. But I was never knew that this could be such a memorable moment for me …
The grand prize for lucky draw – Dutch Lady Hamper
And I got it ! When the MC announced for the winner of this grand prize, I totally can’t believe my ears until they called out the second time. I was so shock and speechless because I never got any even a small prize in lucky draw before. This was the first time for me. I’m so lucky today ! ^^
A basket of Dutch Lady’s milk with various flavor
So the closing ceremony had brought this 5 days Nutrition Week to the end. The seniors had done a great job absolutely, their teamwork, hard work and determination have bring the event to success. From the preparation to the presentation, this is totally not an easy job at all. I was impressed in their creativeness on their ideas of small games and decorations with attractive colourful 3D props. Hope that we could do it more better when come to us in the future. That’s all for today and stay tuned till the next post!
